Not doing good on search for 93 PU door lock cylinders, passenger and driver side, need 2. Part number or source please. I can find sets for up to 1988 for $20 then for 99 and up price goes way up and part #'s are confusing?

Unless they have been filled with Super Glue or something like that nothing that can`t be fixed

Unless the cylinder itself is badly damaged, most lock shops can replace all the discs inside, which should make it work like new. Plus you can match all the keys.

When I search the DL115 some sites say it fits and others say it does not fit?

I did not know they are repairable, will pull one and take to locksmith, thanks for the info. Jim

 

I did not remove my cylinders from the door handle, so I can't even tell you if the DLC-115 LOOKs right.

 

As usual I do not give enough info, guess I was not thinking about repairing.

When the key is inserted, I must must move it up and down to get the right spot to for it to turn. This still works on the passenger side but not on the driver side. Both locks worked well a few months ago when I left on trip, but quickly deteriorated.

I found a video on repairing the cylinder and am assuming the discs are not working properly which may be caused by the tiny springs not working?

I will remove cylinder when time permits and see what is happening and report back. Many thanks Jim

 

I did several web searches on door locks and came up with some good info on worn key's, disk's and springs and repairs and such. I pulled the driver side lock and it was loaded with grease and what I believe to be graphite. Before disassembly I cleaned it with copious amounts of carb cleaner and then tried the key. It worked!! In all my searches not once was it suggested to try cleaning the lock. I cleaned the pass side lock without removing it and it works!

Locks were simply too loaded with crap to function properly. 23 year old vehicle maintained by someone that tried to keep everything lubed and working, well duh. Many Thanks Jim

 

They had the right idea but just used the wrong type of lubricant .
