93 pickup - leaking windshield clue

Hello everyone-

when it rains, my windshield leaks.
Question is, Do you think the seal is leaking or has the gutter rusted through?

it doesn't dribble down the inside of the windshield, it drips from the headliner and off the sun visors.
the seat around drivers section will be soaked and if i drive it water droplets will dribble from the front edge of headliner around the top of windshield area. left and right sides.
I figured if the seal was leaking then the water would run down the inside of the windshield

the outside has the rust tint growing fro the edge and the trim is dried to a hard plastic-like substance.
Before I pull the windshield out, i just wanted to know if i could do it myself or would have to have body repairs done to the gutter

Thanks

If body is rusted through, it would require some welding. If only surface rust, you can simply sand it down to bare metal, treat with POR-15 and have glass shop install glass. Surface rust could cause seal to delaminate from the metal.
WHEN I do mine next week, I will minimize number of layers; I will only use POR-15 on top of bare metal and have glass shop install glass on the POR-15 layer. No body filler that could delaminate. Bead of adhesive would take care of dips and bumps on the pinch weld.

By POR15 do you mean the metal prep?

I figure I'll end up doing the metal prep and then the pinch weld primer over that.
I have to research to make sure.
