Need some help guys and gals. I got a 2001 4runner sr5 The a/c blows out left and right vent, floor, and defrost. If I switch control nothing changes. This just happened last week. was working fine up till then. Still blows ice cold. Any info would be greatly appreciated

 

Normal operation is for the A/C to come on when defrost selected to clear the windows faster. Turning the A/C switch on and off will do nothing when defrost is selected. Otherwise you likely have a bad switch(es) so start poking around with your VOM till you find it. Remotely it may be the A/C compressor clutch sticking but I doubt it.
