I replaced the power steering pump not too long ago on my 92 PU v6 and ever since the AC has been out. My guess is that it is getting no power because the AC button light doesn't come on anymore when I press it. I checked under the hood around the AC compressor and all wires are connected. Blower motor works for the vent, I just have no AC like before the power steering repair. Any ideas for what I should check next?

 

Off the cuff - wont the AC button in the dash not light up if there is not enough pressure (i.e. R12/R134) in the system?

Put some gauges on and see if you have enough static pressure
