As the title says wondering what mileage most people get with the 2.7l?

Disapointing mileage for my Pre Runner 4 cyl.
17.5-18 in combo city and highway driving.
I read here the 2.7L auto was rated at 19 city/21 highway on sticker.

I am seeing around 19-20 and this is with me driving normally. I let the auto shift usually around 2,500- 3,500 rpms so I'm not babying it but I'm not leadfooting it either. I think I could get 21 or more If I took a long trip on the freeway and set the cruise around 70 mph.

I wish it did a little better overall. But these are pretty high trucks and my truck came with 265/75/15's from the factory which is a good size tire, so I guess it isn't to bad. My wifes 2.2L 2 door Chevy Cavalier get around 28-30 so it's not a HUGE difference.

I'll probably do a bit better in the warm months.
I have remote start and usually let her warm up using more gas.

I have gotten as high as 24mpg on backroads. Never had it out on the interstate for very long. Stop and go is more like 19. It's a 4WD also.

You CAN get 3 mpg. Up a steep hill in low range.

I get 19-22 mpg. Now I just put new tires on her and went up a size to 265/75/16s from 265/70/16s so we'll see what that does to the mpgs.
