Im looking for a 3rd gen 4x4 5 speed truck 89 to 95 that is in project shape or that is already setup with an engine swap, repaint and interior redo if needed. I need an ext cab Prefer black, and need to be able to tow 4000 pounds max boat to my local boat ramp roughly 10 miles. Im in the southeast. I no longer have a truck but want one of those 3rd gens again but with a bigger engine. Can anybody help out an old yota guy that has lost his way?

Have a idea what you want to spend.

If your looking for a project get one that runs and can be driven not being able to be road tested can lead to way more project then you want.

Project can really vary in meaning from a rolling Chassis with parts of a frame a gutted cab parts of a drive train or worse.

 

Hmm... Running and driveable. Thats one to remember. I wasn't thinking it would be necessary but thats a valid point. Id hate to get one and the entire drivetrain be shot out as well. Thanks for the mention. Id have to say , project for me would be, could use a paint job or some interior work, but would be driveavle even though id still want to repla e the engine anyway.
