1988 xcab 4X4 SR5 Truck Value?

New to the site and to Toyota 4x4's.

I wanted to know the mid(good) to high(excellent) end value on a clean, original 1988' 4x4 xcab sr5, 4 cylinder/ 5 spd with 98k miles.

Seller is asking 13K that seems high. I checked ebay and online KBB and NADA I'm getting 3k high side. I guessing 7-10k from what I see on other sales.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Seems very high for a 28 year old Toyota with 100,000 miles on it. What engine, transmission, and axle codes does it have.

It is only worth what someone is willing to pay .

I think that is a very high price for a truck that old Super clean fresh engine with a real warranty maybe $3000.00

Then I have way to many trucks!!

Sometimes people don`t really want to sell so set a crazy high price

Truck prices are very regional. (You're not going to drive to the next State to get a 28 year old truck.) So check out Craigslist for your area.

That said, in my area (San Francisco: no rust) $13k will get you a 4x4 pickup somewhere in the 2006 age range.

And can someone explain to me why someone would advertise a vehicle as "clean"? What does a good car wash cost, $10? Okay, I'll add $3 to my offer if it's clean. Heck, I've seen lots of ads touting "clean title." No finger smudges?

4 cylinder/ 5 spd. I don't know what axle codes
When I said clean I meant in very good shape, interior has no rips, stains or broken parts. Body straight, no rust issues.

It's worth what somebody will pay..

I've seen lots of 1990s toyotas up here for sale for well over $5000, they've got a bit of a following.

I'm not going to be paying over 5 grand for a 26 year old truck unless I've got a damn good reason though.. Especially with the rust issues that a lot of these have.
