I am replacing the gas tank and the wires to the sending unit got ripped off there are three wires in the plug is has number 1 2 and 3 I don't know what color wire goes where, thank you

 

just what color wires do you have ??

1 is going to be the ground

1 goes to the gauge

1goes to the low fuel light

 

the wires are orange solid orange one is a yellow wire with an orange stripe and one is the yellow wire with a green stripe and I don't know where they go in the connector the connector on the old on the truck is says 1 2 3 and the female on the gas tank has positive negative and a V i think. so I think the connector and the tank the one is is positive 2 is negative and the three is the V
