Gas coming from exhaust

I recently rebuilt my 1995 pickup 22RE motor.
Its possible one or two of the vacuum lines may be incorrect
If anyone can help limit the possibilities I would be grateful

i'm not seeing how vacuum lines being hooked up wrong is going to make gasoline come out of the exhaust.

did you try googling the hose diagram for your vehicle? it also should be on a sticker on the bottom of the hood.

Think I read about somebody who accidentally piped the fuel return on their 22re into an intake vacuum port.

They said gas came out of their exhaust.

I never thought about getting the Return Line connected to the Plenum, that would be a lot of fuel in the system. Looks to me like it would flood the system out. I am sure it has been done.

John Halverson...The following picture is from an 87 truck I have. I dont have access to a 95, but the Fuel Return Line is either on the fire wall and I have seen them on the Inner Fender on some models.

There are two rubber lines coming off the back of the Fuel Rail. One is a vacuum line and is the smaller hose that runs to a VSV valve. The larger rubber line is the Fuel Return line and should be connected to one of the metal lines. If the large rubber line is connected to the Plenum, that could be a possible cause of fuel running out the tail pipe. The fuel pump moves a lot of fuel.

My pointer finger is showing the larger fuel line and probably where your Return Line is. I am not sure on the 95s.
