Hello yotatech members, this is my first build thread that Ive ever done. so with that in mind ill try my best to keep it up to date and fresh. So, here begins my story of a man, a woman and a 95 4runner. LOL. My girl owned this 4runner and when she moved to oak harbor wa, we went down to Sacramento ca and drove it up to where im stationed at. The 4runner needed a new transmission so I decided to go for the 5 speed swap, ive gathered all the parts for that with the exception of the clutch lines, so I went to the junk yard today to see it they had it, and found a fully working 3.4 v6. So I did what any normal minded person would have and bought it! scored this puppy for 175 bucks with the wiring harness, I mean complete air box to motor crank! That is it for now ill keep you all updated on my progression, and I will be asking tons of questions, open to criticism and rude remarks too! LOL, so please tell me what ya thing and any advice will be much appreciated!

 

I love to see more Washington prople on here, I need to find a group out here...where are you stationed?

Yeah, I was stationed out here in Fort Lewis until I got out last year. But ended up staying in Tacoma, at least for the time being...I just got my 4runner running again and want to start hitting the trails with other people out here...

 

I'm in Tacoma and want to meet up with others also. Plus I have a garage and decent tools to help people out.

Well it's been a little bit sense my last post, been busy cleaning my garage and getting ready for my little rugrat that's brewing. So here are some pictures, please excuse the mess. Lol

Doing a 3.4 swap I hope

 

Well I fell through on the pictures, but yes I will be doing a 3.4 swap eventually. Have one half torn down in my garage waiting to be built. Just completed a trans swap from an auto to a 5 speed, need to figure out the speedo, reverse lights and clutch safety switch. Once I get may garage cleaned out ill get those done, for now just using a GPS speed app on my phone. Next day or two I'll post up the pictures of over the past 2 years. been deployed most of them but now I'll be home and able to up date them a little more regularly!
