87 22r , 133;000 miles changed oil and filter about 2 months ago , maybe 200 miles.3 weeks ago noticed no power , noise coming from engine , oil leak had developed . pulled head and front cover , chain ok, guides broken and tensioner shot . started putting back together, drained oil and pan to remove broken pieces of chain guide , when I pulled off the filter there was not a drop of oil in it . dry as the day i have never seen anything like this I put it on. anyone ever seen anything like this ?
