I am swapping all the 4x4 stuff from a rusted out1992 4runner 4x4 into a rust free 1995 2 wheel drive. It has all come together perfect except for the speedometer doesnt work. The Tranny out of the 92 is electronic speedo and 95 was mechanical and even changed the dash cluster and still doesnt work. Anyone have any ideas what I need to do??? Is the dash wiring set up for electronic speedo in 1995 that was mechanical? I changed engine bay harness and ECM also. Everything else works perfect. Added ADD relay and 4x4 lights up perfect.

 

I figured it out. I was two wires short in the dash harness. Green with red tracer and blue with white tracer from gauge cluster to main plug to dash harness in passenger kick panel. ran two wires which happen to be the speedometer wires!!! speedometer works like a dream now!!!
