Hey yall

Ive had my T100 for years, now am replacing the torque converter after doing literally everything else

Recently changed the transmission to a 1997 T100 unit that I got at a wrecking yard after transmission service place blew out my tranny.

I've been looking at the 1996 torque converter that I had and its nearly impossible to figure out how many splines the thing has, I tried counting the torque converter, got to 21 (minus the big gaps), figure its a 26??

Is there any clear indication as to how to tell the number of splines, they are both red dot blue circle units, I am just looking to get the correct torque converter for this thing and not have to order a second one/return the other.

Any words of sage wisdom will be listened to, I keep reading its a 20 spline on various forums, just need some corroboration.

1996 T100, 5vzfe, 4wd, has 1997 transmission from same model, is extended cab.

Also, any clear way to differentiate between the models... would be amazing as well.
