Hi im new the forum. I bought my Toyota a few months ago and its slowly been being improved. Its lifted with a solid axle swap and 33s. Ive fixed almost everthing except for this noise it makes. When im driving at high speeds shifting from 4th to 5th it makes a rattle. Cant feel it through the shifter. New u joints. Nothing changed. I noticed it gets really bad the warmer it is. Weather and when the truck is warmed up. It gradually gets worse the longer I drive the truck. Any suggestions would be very aprreciative. Im tryig to make this truck function perfectly as a daily driver/weekend play toy.

 

is the rear axle rotated up, pointing towards the transmission?

 

Yes it is. Im gunna disconnect the driveshaft tomorrow and run it through the gears and see if it will make the noise

Greased up rear u joint. Noise gone. Problem a bad u joint. Weird tho . Coykd of sworn noise was coming from the transfer case
