Lift/Wheel fitment question from a newbie

Hey guys. Sorry if this has been talked about a million times but my situation is semi-unique so I was hoping maybe someone has done what I'm trying. I have failed to find an answer by searching forums so far. I am the new owner of a 96 4Runner Sr5. I'm looking to install a 3" complete OME lift and was curious what tires would fit with that. I have a couple options. My 96 t-100 has a 3" BL and 33/12.50/15 duratracs that I could use, or buy new tires for the wheels that are currently on it (08 taco "trd" 16's). Any help is much appreciated.

I have a sonoran steel lift and 2" body lift and run 33 x 12.5-R16 on 10" wide rims and the side bitter just kisses the frame on full turns, I wish I went to a narrower and taller tire.

I was hoping to not have to add a BL, but it sounds like that may be the only way. Is it the height or the width that's the issue? Maybe 33/10.50 would fit without rubbing?
