I recently got a truck, and ran into several problems. When truck is started, I can't press down the pedal without the engine cutting out. If I apocalypse it, it will rise in Tom's and returns to idle. Tried to drive it, but couldn't bring up speed.

I realize it could be several issues, but need help narrowing it down.

I have an idea that it could be either the tps or fuel filter.

It already hereinafter market fuel pump ( didn't check the filter to see if clogged )

 

Do a complete tune up on it. Seen a guy last week chasing several issues and he had not tuned up and the problem was just worn out tune up parts. Since you just got it the previous owner probably neglected it and since was going to sell it just did not invest the money in it. I see several used trucks with original parts on them from shocks to plug wires and would not doubt if the distributor cap and rotors were original.

 

Good point. I just automatically shot for the difficult stuff, and bypassed the basics.
