1984 Tojo Extra Cab 22r Carb
Thanks to all for the service you provide here. I am a newbie so be patient, please. I have owned Tojo since 1984 second owner with 6K miles when I became the owner. It is totally stock, no modifications. Now I have 308K and the engine is running strong. The only engine repair has been a front crankshaft oil seal. Tojo is in need of some cosmetic work and I am considering rebuilding the engine before I begin the face lift. I am hesitant to pull and rebuild the engine because it uses no oil between changes at 3K miles and really runs great. I drive it to work daily (approx. 60 miles per day) I don't want to risk damaging the cosmetic work by having to rebuild the engine shortly thereafter. I am open to advice, suggestions, personal experience etc.

Added photos of Tojo yesterday before the upgrade. We are preparing to rebuild the 22R, engine will be pulled and delivered to shop March 1. While we are at it I have decided rather than a paint job we are going to coat the exterior with Linex bed liner with the original Toyota blue or at least as close as we can get to that. I would like to lift it 3" inches and add new wheels. I am having the bumpers sprayed with black Linex. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The paint on it looks to be in great condition. I think I would see if it would buff out some. As far as photos, get a Photobucket account and post the last link which is IMG...IMG and copy that link into your thread and it will show up. Truck looks like it is in great condition.
I am unable to size the picture but I copied a picture to my photobucket account and posting it for you. Before sending the picture to photobucket, you will need to get it in the correct size. I think my camera resolution is set to like 1600x1200 or something similar.
