Question Possible to add Rear Diff lock to 2wd 93 t100 truck?

Hello, I have a 93 t100 truck that absolutely sucks in any sort of off road situation. I am wondering if its relatively easy or even plausible to add a rear diff locker to the rear, and what components I would need to find.

I have a 4wd VW with front / rear diff lockers and I noticed 90% of the time in off road driving all I need is the rear two wheels locked and not even the front engaged... I would love to make my truck more capable off road.

My other question is what do you think is more important, 4wd or all terrain tires?
I currently have road tires on which is obviously a factor but im not sure what would be more a factor.

It is possible to add rear diff lock to a 2WD, just depends on if you have the ability to do it. I looked at a 96 runner that was two wheel and had the rear diff lock in it.

4WD would do better then all terrain tires any day.

I will likely hire someone to help.... just need to know what kind of components to search for...

that question is 2wd locked with road tires better than unlocked 2wd w/ terrain tires.

Thank you.

Red face

Since your talking T100 swapping a complete axle housing from a Pick Up with the Elocker won`t work.

Was the E locker a option for the T100??

Then Off Road is a very large term.

I had 2wd trucks that would be stuck on the slightest incline on wet grass.

Good Tires and @ 500 pounds of weight just in front of the axle will work wonders.

Buy a 4x4 and be done !!
