I have an 83 pickup and the plastic bushings that connect the wiper linkages crapped out leaving me without wipers. I have tried getting the wiper linkage assorted packs from the auto parts store. None of them work. I have also tried pulling the bushings from the junkyard but haven't been able to get 30 yr old plastic bushings off without destroying them.

Has anyone encountered this and found a fix, either currently produced bushings that work, or a different, more current linkage system that drops in relatively easily?
