A340H Park/Neutral Switch Inter-Year Compatibilty
I am in the process of replacing a dead A340H automatic transmission in my 1994 3VZE 4Runner. My donor transmission is from a 1992 3VZE 4Runner. Yesterday I discovered that the electrical connector for the park/neutral switch (pictured) is different. Apparently it changed for years 1994-1995.

Will I be able to swap the switch from my dead '94 transmission to the '92 unit without issue? I've searched the forums and haven't found an answer.
Thanks for your input!

So it turns out the switches are backward compatible. I had no problem fitting the '94 switch onto the '92. Everything else was identical.
Glad to have this on record for anyone else searching the forums for an answer!
