Hey guys, I just pulled my broken control valve off the bottom of my steering pump in my 95 4runner. After I put the new one on, I went to clean up the old fluid that came out of the hole and found on the floor this metal part.
Did it come out of the hole where the vacuum control valve goes? or from inside the valve? Going to have to take the new one back off to see. Wanted to see if anyone else has seen this before and where it came from.. its not in the FSM anywhere
Any info is appreciated

But it sure looks like the piston that actuates the vacuum part of the valve in response to PS fluid pressure. I suspect it "should" have come out with the old valve. Except that the old one was broken.
Finally found it in the FSM. I think its called a union seat, its marked not-reusable so I'm not sure if I will be ok just putting it back in.. advice?
