I have a '78 Chinook pop-up fiberglass camper body truck. The original engine is a 20R and it has some major issues. I am trying to get back on the road in a few days and don't have very much money so I decided to buy a used 22R which I found on CL. I have a neighbor who was going to help me swap the engines in exchange for an old Honda scooter that I have but that fell through because he is having some family issues. The new (used) engine allegedly only has 69,000 miles on it and was apparently running well before the truck was parted out due to Gulf Coast rust. Anyway, I've been calling around to see what the swap would cost and most shops won't touch it, or are prohibitively expensive. After buying the engine I don't have much of a budget left for the swap. I am a broke musician and tour/live full-time in the Chinook. I am supposed to be heading out to play some shows early next week. I'm hoping that someone out there has a cherry-picker, some tools, knowledge and time that they'd be willing to offer for a limited budget or a trade of a pretty ugly looking 86 Honda Elite Deluxe 150cc scooter. I'm trying to sell some stuff to raise funds but the clock is ticking. Thanks! This is my first post so sorry if I'm doing it wrong.
