Ok so I just revealed my 1985 22re pickup I did the oil pan gasket and timing cover gasket. I never removed the oil pump or water pump. Now when I was finished I started my truck and it rattled a little til oil made its way around but if I reved up my engine to say 2500 rpms then just let it drop it make a faint clacking/knocking sound. It would do that till it warmed up then went away. There's less than 10k on this engine and I'm running synthetic 10-40. (it's 105 outside) I think it's just chain rattle/valve train noise but could anyone possibly help I took a stethoscope to up top and down low on the oil pan and the noise is loudest above the chain on the cover any ideas please this is my baby
