This seems like about as good a time as any... might as well get this build thread started.

A few months ago truck started running real poopy. Misfiring, bogging down under load, just real irritating. Parked her for a while... 3 months or so. Haven't been able to get the timing adjusted perfectly, so finally tonight I popped off the valve cover (which is going to follow in a post of its own) and to no surprise, the top of the timing chain guide was gone from the passenger side. After several, and I do mean SEVERAL hours of working on getting the timing cover taken off, I find this.









Looks like I'm going to have to buy a new timing cover, too. The previous owner... I can't even say it here. Just... AAHHHHH!!!!

Anyway, it's after midnight, I'm covered in grease, nothing more I can do tonight.
