1993 Toyota Pickup Bumper and Winch

I have a 1993 Toyota Pickup with the extended cab I was wondering if anyone knew what the best winch bumpers are. I have been looking and the only ones I can find are ARB and Warn. I really like both of them and i was wondering what one is the best one or if there are better ones out there. It seems that there aren't too many bumpers for these trucks. Also what would be the best winch to get that would fit in them and would be the best bang for my buck.

Thanks a ton guys!

Thanks man! I really like it I'm just wishing they had a grille guard on it if it did I think I'd be sold.

plate bumpers are heavy, how about tube winch bumpers.

trail gear sells some, marlin crawler also does but they are probably out of stock.

you can also just get the center plates already assembled, and pay a fab guy to add stuff on. http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/yotam...r/bumpers.html

Mention you saw it on here & I'll take $50.00 off price? Stop by our powder coating shop at onpointpowdercoatingdotnet. Just needs a new home?

no offense, but that looks like a basic push bar variation - basically a damage multiplier if you hit it.

there are plenty of options for front bumpers on our trucks. If you're talking about a production bumper, there are at least 6-8 of them that I know of, probably more. If you DIY or have one custom made, options are endless. Figure a complete bumper is going to start at $400 whether it be tube or plate, but can easily climb up to $1200 depending on what you want.

personally I went the route of having rock sliders and a rear bumper before front winch bumper. I can usually determine what the front of my truck touches and the times I need a winch are basically never because the rest of my truck's not capable of getting into that situation. Rock sliders are good even if it's just to protect you from shopping carts or a t-bone or just a step. Rear bumper is good for the xcab because of the long wheelbase and poor departure angle, also because there isn't a good rear recovery point without a trailer hitch. it's your choice, just know the options and pros/cons of the order you do it all in.

idk, looks nice to me. i go custom because i can fabricate. only thing i would be more worried about is the recovery hook and eye mounting. do they still fit?

It's list locally on Craigslist for $550, mention you saw here & it's yours for $500. This was a one-time custom job. We do not do that much fab work any more, mainly powder coating. Address is onpointpowdercoatingdotnet, text message is best way to get in touch. I have some other pics of different ones done. Will post when I get a chance to take them from phone.

keep in mind, ARB are street legal/DOT approved. Many homebrews and others out there are "off road only"

I would guess that is a state by state rule!

Here in Pa they only look at the height of your lifted truck.

If they want to be strict the bumpers need to be a stock height but most let it slide .

I would highly recommend the ARB bubmer. I purchased one about seven years ago and the paint is still in prime condition and the bumper has seen more ˟˟˟˟ than most people and still undented.
