removing fresh air ball grill
The fresh air ball grill to right of glove box is stuck so would like to remove and try to fix. I removed a screw at top, cant get it to come out, found a tab or whatever on bottom inside that feels like a push and lock plastic but cant figure how it works. Must i remove the glove box then how to work this plastic piece so as not to break it? tx, bill

when I built my trekker dash , I used the right hand ball on the left side

on the bottom of the ball housing , there is a little "s" clip holding it to the dash , it has a "V" type notch holding it , it's a tough little clip , but it will come off with some torque , pulling it straight forward . it's really best to get to it from the glove box area , so you don't break the plastic tab on the ball vent housing .. sorry , no pic of the actual clip

Got this truck 12 years ago from mountains and think a mouse chewed on the inside of vent so the seal might be tore up? B..
