Unhappy Tail Light Fuse Blowing

I've searched through this site and found that this same issue has occurred before. Trouble is, none of the fixes pertain to my 04 Tacoma. I've got no Tail Lights, No Dash Lights, No license Plate Lights & no Corner Marker Lights.
From what I've read, they are all on the same circuit. I'll try to list what I've done so far.

1. Replaced the Tail Light Relay - no change
2. Removed ALL of the rear bulbs - no change
3. Removed the Front Marker Bulbs - no change
4. Totally disconnected my Trailer wiring. (only 1 yr old) - no change
5. All sockets, bulbs, wiring are in great shape! No corrosion at all.

I'm getting really sick of finding nothing. The fuse blows as soon as I turn the switch to the Parking Light Mode. Every time! Even blew a 15 amp.

Is there somewhere that I can separate the front of the circuit from the back part? From what I've done already, I'm almost leaning towards a bad switch. Not sure tho.

This happened very non chalontly after parking my truck from lunch a week ago. No rain, No trailer hooked up, No lights on....nothing. I noticed it because my dash light were out later that night.

I'd appreciate any help I can get here. Thanks in advance~!

There is a plug that goes to the rear lights I am not sure if it is in the cab or after where it goes out in your 2004

On my 2000 Tacoma it is under the drivers seat

Check for a rubbed spot on the wiring along the frame .My 89 would blow the park light fuse when it rained , it turned out to be a bare spot on the license plate light wire.

I would say this^^^^^. Something is bridging and blowing the fuse. I had a "rub" spot on my rear driver's side tail light assembly that occurred from replacing the light assembly but not correctly routing the wires using the factory clips.

It is a given there is a short or a poor connection causing it to arc across between the contacts drawing enough current to open the fuse.

I wonder has the OP found there problem??
