heres my dum question for the day what flipping thermostat fits the offenhauser c-series intake its an 82 22r. I know its a thermostat type seal but cant seem to find a thermostat that fits any helps would be great thanks

 

Strange question, should just be a thermostat for the 22r. Is a "C" series the dual plane or single? Not that it should make a difference.

The only reason I can think of is that you ended up with a "late" 22r water neck ('83 up) and it isn't sealing to the manifold? The offy's require an early water neck, which your '82 should have, unless someone swapped in a post '83 engine at some point.

I had a dual plane offy/weber 32/36 setup on my 81 previously and everything bolted right up and used the stock thermostat.

Normal stat., rubber gasket, early style thermostat housing. 81 too 83. Like bingle said there is an adapter available for the later style thermostat housing.

 

lce performance makes parts to help seal the early model thermostats even if you have a newer model neck check them out maybe they have some parts for you.

 

Yeah, like in the link I put in 2 posts up. If that's even the problem he's having.
