Hello all I just took off the air cleaner hose that connects to the throttle body right at the butterfly, to inspect the condition of the butterfly. I noticed that it definitely needs to be cleaned.

1. What should i use to clean the throttle body. I do not have TB cleaner so I was wondering if carb cleaner would work, and a tooth brush?

2. I noticed OIL in the air cleaner hose and it looks like it runs down the hose. Where is this oil coming from and why?
