I met an animator for Pixar , at one of the car shows I had my trekker at (this is what he told me anyway ) he asked if it was ok if he took some detailed pics of my wheels and hubs .. he said they have never really got the details down . he also took some pics of my trekker . I asked him to email me if they ever used my trekker in any animations they did ... but no emails yet !

Nice viddy. A couple of years ago I found a blog by a group of animation students who were replicating the Pizza Planet pickup. They made the white thing on top out of Styrofoam. I'll have to look for it to post....
Found it! It's a refreshing change from the "Back To The Future" replicas. But they used a 2nd gen pickup:

I also was approached by a guy at a Show last Fall, he was interested in building a replica "Pizza Truck" to take around to Comic Convention Shows, and wanted to know if I was willing to transform my 80 with him......I declined....

thank you
The ubiquitous behavior of that truck in the kids'movies left me confused. I get it now. There was one like that for sale last year in north central PA-yellow, cap, early 80's, dented and rusty; it was already 'transformed'.

I think it's a film school nod to Alfred Hitchcock's cameos in all 30 of his films. Fans went wild looking for him so he got in the habit of appearing early so not to distract from the story lines. It's been pointed out that Pixar as well as Steven Spielberg and other film school elite use the same scream effect in all their movies as an inside joke. The Wilhelm scream, from a 1953 cowboy movie:
