Question solid front axle vs ifs for road use

I need to know if one is getting a 2 wheel drive long bed pickup primarily for road use should I try for an 86 or later with the ifs or would the 84 or 85 be OK for that application, thanks (without IFS is the street driving significantly more jarring) it seems there are more 84 and 85's in my area that come up for sale

If it's 2wd it won't have a solid front axle.
