Another Royal Purple Motor Oil Thread? What?

So yea I searched the forum for synthetic oil ( Royal Purple specifically) blaa blaa blaa. What I found was some of the good ones went way back to mid 2000's. Some not so good current ones with little response.

In some of the older ones there were plenty of folks saying they were thinking about using it. SO I thought I would add my experience and may be get an updated oil thread going on this subject again. It is a great subject so why not? Please no long diatribes about theory and oil weights that has already been gone over 10 times over...

I used to build 48cc motor bicycles and I loved the Amsoil for those after break in. There was no doubt they ran cooler, more Horse Power, top speed, and smoother.

Anyway I changed my 85 4runner to Royal Purple 10-30 and the jury is not out yet but I did notice better throttle response, smoother idle, and a touch lower engine temp. I am using the Toyota oil filter with the oil. No real horsepower bump as the truck runs about the same speeds up a few hills I daily drive. However, the ride is much smooth and more quiet for sure. I mean short of oil leaks or more seepage I would say why not? You get more even consistent oil molecule size ( less wear) and with the added time between intervals about the same price. I will still change on regular intervals because the price difference means little to me.

So what are some other experiences out there? Any other opinions or actual good/bad experiences?

And please respect others just make your point and move on...No flameatards..

No experience. How often do you change your oil? I've been using cheapo and changing it frequently. Amazon has 5 qt. jugs for $37.79 with free prime shipping so it's not as expensive as I had thought.

I am a nut when it comes to oil changes. 3000 miles give or take... Not necessary but doesn't hurt.. - right

Do you at least get your used oil analyzed? My last oil change was around 15k miles.
