will it fit: engine from 83 toyota van it is fuel injected into 1980 2WD

i got the engone out of an 83 toyota van it is fuel injected and mine is carbed. i removed the engine out of the van because the owner though it was wore out so after struggling to remove the engine and put the new one in,that was a pain,no room to work, didn't put the fuel line on the back of the engine until it was installed, the owner gave me the motor as payment,he used all his money on the new engine,i desided to check the old motor and found out the only problem with it was loose sparkplugs. will it fit into a 1980 toyota pickup 2wd,and what motor is it?

Your going to help us help you. At a minimum we are going to need the spec of the van it came out of. Pictures of you motor would help even more. Get a photo bucket account or similar and copy the image link in to your post for easy photo sharing. With out that we are all just in the dark. Good luck hope this helps

Well on that note it will fit. Provided you have the Fab skills and enough money to make it work. People have put 6cylinder cummins, sb Chevys, and supercharged supra motors in. It's only your fab skills and or check book that's the limit.

moved to correct folder and re-titled thread to something more relevant than 'will it fit'

what does the valve cover say?
Did you get the ECU? EFI is not gonna work with out the harness and computer...

you might get it to work, they had EFI on 83 celicas. If this was some easy conversion it seems that it would have been found out by now

you might do some research here:
