Hey guys i was wondering if anyone had pics of their 4" ifs lifts with 33"x10.5" or 33"x12.5. I wanted to compare the differences because I have a 4" Pro Comp stage II lift waiting to put on but I'm not sure which tire size to go with. I live in Hawaii and one of the new safety inspection rules are tires can not stick out wider than the body so lots of guys throw on fender flares or they just risk the ticket. Thanks! I have the procomp stage II kit on mine with 33x12.5's. I'll look to see if I have a front on shot so you can see how the tires stick out a bit. But that is a lot to do with backspacing as well. I'll have to look in my paperwork to get the backspacing and offset on my wheels. I cant remember at the moment. The wheels are 15x10.

 

Thanks bro. Shots from the front of the side will help a lot for me to see exactly how much the tires stick out. I don't really like the bigger bulky fender flares like the bushwhacker cut out fender flares but i like bushwhackers extend-a-fender's and they only cover 1.5 in" so if the tires stick out 2" then they are illegal but not so noticeable and i could probably deal with it. If they stick out 3-4+ in" thats a problem.

 

I cant find a straight on shot, so I'll go take one really quick, but the fronts stick out past the fender probably a couple inches, maybe less. Depends on where you look. For instance, where the rear of the front fender meets the rocker panel, it sticks out quite a bit, but that is because the body starts rounding in about there. The rear tires stick out probably a little less. In the pic you can see I still have the factory rear mud flaps on, and they stick out past that a couple inches maybe. I would say if it is going to be a problem, then perhaps the 10.5's would be a better choice. They would tuck in a little more, especially dependent on your wheel specs.

 

Here is the best I've got at the moment. I'll take some more later when I'm done in the shop. Trying to get a customers rig out the door.

What is your wheel size? and backspace?

 

Here is a front on pic to show how far the tires stick out past the fenders. My wheels are 15x10. Not sure of the backspacing yet though. I am doing ball joints tommorrow so I'll measure it then. If I had to guess though, I would say maybe a 3.75" backspace...probably wrong though.

 

Not running a 4" bracket lift, but here's a good example of how far 33x12.5" tires will stick out. Mine are on 15x8-3.7"bs wheels. My lift is BJ spacers and t-bar adjustment, all 4 corners are at 22.5" center axle to bottom of fender. If you get 33x10.5s and stay with stock 7" wheels, you should be able to keep the tire covered without getting flares. Sucks to hear about the new law, I guess there goes "Hawaiian-style tires" lol/yuck...

 

Thanks this is exactly what i was looking for. Yeah the new law sucks but guys still run their "Hawaiian-style tires." Some guys do recon some just risk the ticket. But i just want to stay legal so i don't have any problems at all. Thanks again bro

33x10.5 on 15x7 SR5 rims. BJ spacers, 2' rear spring and a 1" body lift.
