Your experience with timing chain noises '79-'83

I had an '83 that would make the most mysterious "tinfoil in fan blades" type of buzzing. I'd never owned anything with a 22r in it so I had no grounds for comparison in any way on the running conditions or where to start on why it idled so shaky like it was going to die also. Or where the noise was coming from. It only made it when revved up to the right rpm range. There is a video of it here:

I later found wheelie pete's video on this kind of thing but wasn't at first sure if that video had anything to do with my truck. I don't remember if I just went ahead with the timing chain project after a bunch more research on what a slack one can cause and weighing the odds or if I had the sense to look under the valve cover and check the timing chain guide, but I went ahead and did it. It's more common to have more engine-threatening conditions with an '83 or later because of the single row chain, plastic guide, and likelihood of eventually wearing through the timing cover into the water jacket. So here's his very detailed, yet in some regards lacking more key general information, youtube video which is all around a very good video:

I really wish he had shown a video of it running because it's interesting to hear all the different varieties of noises because it can be hard to diagnose from the sound alone. I want to hear as many as I can.

So now I'm curious to hear all of your encounters with timing chains, especially with the double-row chains since I now have a 22r that is an '82 and therefore double-row. And I'm definitely hearing some different noises than the '83, and it must not be as bad off in terms of slack since I have it idling beautifully. But that clack and wind-down noise is there. I have checked over:
-valve clearances (done right, while hot)
-replace belt (a couple folks suggested pulley/belt noise can sound clacky)
-pulled one spark plug wire at a time to eliminate chance of rod knock (have heard videos of rod knock and it sounds more "blocky" or low-frequency)
-will soon do the 'descending from TDC piston push through spark plug hole' test to confirm no rod play

And that's about all I can think of to check. Now I know the double row chain has metal backed guide with some plastic which can wear through to metal, and then I'm pretty much safe from water jacket wearthrough, unlike stock '83 and older, I just like to know what the noises are when they are there so no bad things I could have prevented happen.

I would post the video I took of this truck, but I tried and failed many times to upload it, it was frustrating, I don't understand the problem with upload, may try again later.

TIMING CHAINS, yeah.
