87 Supra IRS in 82 2WD Pickup?
Hey guys I got a line on an 87 supra someones parting out. I can probably grab the rear suspension pretty cheap. Anyone ever done the independent rear suspension swap into one of these? Just curious how hard of a job it would be to fit it to the pickup?
I'm thinking about going for a drift truck with this one and would like to put a good solid suspension on it without killing my bank account also the supra rear end would hold up to a good amount of power. Any other ideas? Also would like some suggestions for the front. I want to set low and have a really aggressive stance. Preferrably no airbag B.S. not into the ground scraping crap.
Also what are some good engine swaps for these little trucks? I'd love to go with a 2jz or 7mg but I cant seem to find any 79-83 trucks with this swap done so I'm going to assume its more hassle than its worth to get a straight six into one of these. What are some good potent some what easy swaps for these little trucks? I hate to cross breed but it doesnt look like toyota has anything real attractive in the 4 banger area. So was looking at SR20 and KA24 swaps. I've got everything I need for a 20R/22R hybrid setup but I dont think thats gonna be quite enough bang for the buck.
