1982 Emissions hoses have me stumped!
I'm really stumped as I try to get my '82 back to being street legal in...
California
. This of course means that I have to figure out how a lot of the hoses connect. The haynes and chilton manuals helped a bit but I'm still a little in the dark. Long story short, the reason that this truck is in such a state is because of rats getting to it while it sat in a field for the years before she came to me.
Anyways, here's pics of the area I'm having trouble with:
Brief Diagram:

In the following picture you can see some of the rat damage on those black/yellow and blue/red/yellow wires (Circled in Red). If anyone knows where those go that would be much appreciated! Also what is the thing in the middle with two emissions hoses coming off that is bolted to the metal (Circled in Green), I haven't been able to find this in any emission diagram that I've been able to find?

here's the same pic without my terrible paint skills covering half of it.

Some of the bird's nest that used to be the VSVs as far as I can tell. But how do they connect to this spaghetti..?

This line comes from the charcoal cannister but where does the T go?

Next two pics are for the same thing, where does this wire connect?

Thanks!

Well the diagram will help you reconnect those vacuum lines. That wire in the last picture is a power wire that goes to the battery. Also looks like you have a broken thermal vsv. Thats not going to fly with the smog inspector. Those are difficult to buy so you could get a limited parts smog pass. Meaning that if no one can sell you one you could pass smog.
One of the problems it looks like you have is that you have an a/c compressor. you need a smog pump since it looks like that motor had one originally.
Any originally equipped emmision control has to be on there for it to pass visual.
