could be a number of things. but if it bucks and jerks going up a slight incline hill under normal driving, that sounds like an ignition misfire. take a look at the plugs, wires, and cap/rotor. if you are unsure of the last tune up, wouldn't hurt to go ahead and replace all of those.

Possibly the injection pump. But start with the filter.

Either your trying to be funny or don't know your way around a Diesel engine.
Make sure there isn't any water in the fuel, I second the others, start with the fuel filter

sarcasm is hard to express over the internet. i saw 3.0 and assumed gas engine.

fuel filter would be a cheap place to start, and its a maintenance item anyways. not sure how to test for a bad injection pump. i do know from farm tractors that injectors can clog over time and need to be rebuilt. i take those injectors to a diesel injection specialty shop and they can check the spray pattern and check for leaks, and they can rebuilt them as necessary

also, another common thing i see is dirt in the fuel lines from the pump to each injector. i'll remove each line one by one and blow them out with air. usually there is a constant miss when this happens though.
