Just wondering has anyone used any kind of sealant to their exhaust manifold gaskets?

I've done my head gaskets a couple times and only used the stock exhaust gaskets without sealer. Only exhaust leaks I've had since then were at the collector to pipe connection, and tightening the bolts took care of that.
If you take care of exhaust leaks soon after discovering them you save the parts from getting damaged and not sealing again.

Oem gaskets seal pretty well make sure you torque in sequence. inner and torquing your way outward. The only high temp rtv that could be usefull is on the air injection tube on top the manifold

I still every once in a while use Permatex #2 on things like where the flanges join at the cat .
This is to help hold things in place till I get the bolts in.
I also used it way back when on the header gaskets on my small block Chevy.
