96 3.4 performance upgrades

Im new to the site but I also deal with a cummins site and I hope u all as helpful as they are. I have a 96 3.4 that has a small lift with 32in tires. Pulls good but im wanting to give it a little more power. Im thinking about 40 more hp for now and boosting it around tax time next yr. Or maybe cummins swap. What are some small power gainers that wont cost a lot that I can do for now? Besides air intake.

Put your truck on a diet!!

The more weight you haul around the harder it works

Stay away from aggressive traction tires keep the pressure on the high side .

Fancy intakes are a waste of money but if you need the physiological boost from looking at it.

If your not happy with the 3.4 as it is even forced induction will not be enough get yourself a small block Chevy build a $10,000 engine and have your needed power.

TRD supercharger or a cx racing front mount turbocharger kit.
there are no easy cheap power mods for the 3.4.

Keep in mind the early 3.4's are harder to tune when boosting.

Lots of info on YT. You can google search if yt's search doesn't do the job.
