i'm looking to raise my runner an inch or two to get more clearence for my tires, whats ur guys' opinions on coil/bushing lifts, that seems the easiest and cheapest way to get a quick inch or two. just looking for opinion here

 

Get some Cornfed spacers and crank the torsion bars.

 

I've got some Downey 1.5" spacers for the rear if you want them. PM me for info.

Also check out the ball joint spacers for the front. This should be a pretty good set up without the harshness of cranked torsion bars.

 

is the spacer you are talking about something that goes between the upper arm and whatever the arm is called that goes up from the hub assembly(dont know what thats called either)? so coil spacers front/rear and then the upper arm ball joint spacer? could you get enough lift out of that setup to fit 34's? and this is without serious wheelin, mostly highway and some mud but no real suspension flex/crawling until id lift it right with like a pro comp 4" kit or something?

oh and BTW sorry for the hijack, but ive been interested in a cheap/easy way to get by on for a while.

 

I dont off road but I do want to sit higher. Whats a fair cost to do a simple lift?

I don't think you'll need new front shocks but you'll want some for the rear. So your looking at probably $300 for 1.5" of lift.

As far as 34's go. You may be able to fit 34x10.5's. There's a member on the board with those and a 2" body lift. So maybe with the above set-up and a 1" Roger Brown body lift you'll be good.

the 34's are 34/10.50/15's im pretty sure, they are the swamper LTB's, I am pretty sure that it is the available size. and you cant do a body lift on an auto can you? I might get a manual still but it isnt easy to find and if I get auto I cand do a body lift, at least I havent found one.

 

Cheapest and easiest lift is a body lift. Doesn't increase ground clearance, but it allows you to sit higher and fit larger tires. You can get 1-2" body lift for under $100. Check out Roger Brown.

 

If you haven't got the truck yet don't get an auto. Stick with a 5 speed, they're already fairly slow as it is. Especially if you want to run Swampers.

 

Quickest, cheapest and easiest would be a body lift.

You are going to be hating life if you are mostly on pavement with 34" tires and stock gears.

If you only want to look tough cheaply, get a 1" bodylift, throw and some 33x10.5's and stay in the slow lane.

 

not stock gears, manual would be 5.29's wiht the 34's and the auto would get 5.71's

and I was going to look at a manual one today but still working on my car so no ride over there. and I am gonna try to use my car as a down for the runner and then give em a bit of cahs and just have a few months of payments for the restr to try and build a bit of credit.

 

That's me I'm running 34x10.5's with a 2" body lift and downey rear coils, that's it. The body lift only cost me $75 and time to put it in. Oh, I'm also running the tires on a different offset rim (they stick out 1" farther than stock) so that may make a difference, but I don't know how much.
