Well, as a daily driver you don't need to do a lot but just make it stock and make sure everything works and it looks good. Beyond that, we can't decide on the mods for you, especially without knowing more about what you want to make special and how you're going to use it on the weekends.

I want to lift it a little, add a winch brush guard and rear bumper. Also will be used as a light trail vehicle. Nothing crazy since I want to drive it daily

I think the best plan for any vehicle build is to drive it until you figure out something you need: Off road and no grip? M/T's Off road and no clearance? Bigger M/T's Off road and not enough flex? Suspension lift Wrenching and want room to work? Small body lift (body lift usage is widely debated) Often losing communication with your off road buds or weird mother-truckers? CB radio Often getting stuck off road? Winch- Avoid that "brush guard winch" you mentioned.. They don't provide any real crash protection, nor would I or most trust them to actually anchor a winch. Invest in a proper winch ARB style or tube bumper. One head on and it pays for itself. Often scraping your rockers whilst off-road? Sliders Same as above but on your tail end? Rear bumper The list goes on and on.. While you alone knows how on and on the money can flow. The V6 5-speed is a much coveted option (maybe just coveted and not much coveted.. I don't know, I covet it a decent amount.) Good luck, matey

Thanks, that's actually a great direction to take, instead of slapping parts on.

One popular power mod is the 3.4L engine swap. Otherwise not a ton of bolt on options for the 3vze. It is already a pretty capable vehicle for many situations, but I do carry a full set of tire chains, a come-a-long, rope, hi-lift jack and other various gear when venturing off pavement, just in case I need that little bit of help.

Red face

Go with the basic platform before you start with the bling goodies!!

Vacuum hoses

Suspension and steering parts

Make sure the Brake system is as good as it can be.

You don`t say mileage time for a timing belt and the other goodies that go with it???

Things like this do you more good then a lift and bumpers for now.

If you have a shop you should just build your own bumpers and leave the brush guards to the mall crawlers .

To protect from the run away shopping carts !!
