Hi guys,
new here. I have a 90 pickup for which I was looking for a rear bumper.
I came a across a local that's selling a TG rear bumper with a nice swing arm for a spare.

Only problem it's off a 85 pickup and on the TG website they have different version. I called TG and they said the mounting bracket is the same which is good but the 90 pickup a little wider than the 85.. that's why they have two version.

Called my friend with a 84' and took some measurements, body side to side at the level of the bumper is 62" and more like 63+" on mine.

Has anyone tried to fit a 84-88 TG rear bumper on a 89-92 pickup?

I am wondering if that can be modded somehow but bending out the tubes on each side is probably going to be tough..

It could be done but not the way your thinking .

Till you get done doing a good job you might as well just build the whole bumper.

That is why they have the different models.
