Turbo gauge cluster in a non turbo truck
I have been searching yotatech for an hour or so for an answer but haven't got a clear one. So my question is can I swap a turbo gauge cluster in a non turbo truck. From what I have read you have to switch some pins on the back of the cluster but can't find any info on which ones. I bought a sr5 cluster today out of a turbo truck thinking that it's the same as the non turbo one.

If I recall right Turbo trucks had the digital gauge and the needle style gauge that is most common. Which gauge do you have. I have a needle style turbo gauge but have never tried it in a non turbo gauge and have always wondered the same thing as you mention. I don't see why it would not work, just never tried it. Are you talking about the digital gauge? That I am not sure what all would be involved to make it work.

I have the gauge with the led turbo light not the digital one and I found the wiring for the turbo gauge cluster but can't seem to find the one that's in my truck. Tried searching with no real luck. Can't seem to find one that tells me what each pin on each of the 3 connectors on the back of the cluster. I might just sell the turbo one and try to find a standard sr5 cluster. I plugged the turbo one in my 4runner to see what worked(I unplugged the oil thing so it wouldn't fry the one in the gauge) and the things that worked were the dash lights, temp gauge and volt meter which read way higher then my actual volts.
