Hi have set idle to where it should a week later all gone to pot. reset it it again and when i start up to go to work i either have no idle or a racing engine. suggestions. my truck is a 1989 3vze with auto box

You could try wrapping the idle screw with some yellow gas tape, fixed mine right up. Keeps it seated better and ensures no vacuum leaks.
