just got my free flamethrower inj. installed sun. and when I started the truck it smoked I let it run for a few mins. before shutting it off [it smoked all the time it was running] it also stunk not like gas but like something like a inj. cleaner or ? it never smoked before . didn't get a chance to start it today but plan on it tomorrow . do you know if this is normal ? and will clear up or is it something else ? also my idle seems to be kind of high and my truck doesn't have a rpm gauge in it what should it be running at ?[ I have 92 pickup with the 22re its also a auto.] . is there a way to check the rpms with out a gauge ? my truck has 206,000 and I don't think the inj. have ever been changed in it . Thanks

 

the injectors have a strong injector cleaner in them when the are shipped. it's not that combustible and that may be what you are experiencing.

it should clear up in a few minutes. the idle is adjustable on the throttle body.
