sway bar removal pros and cons 88 4runner

sway bar removal pros and cons 88 4runner

I want to disconnect the front and rear sway bar on my 1988 4runner IFS what are the pros and cons

Well, you dont have one on the back (from the factory anyway) so no worry there.

You can pull the front one though. Youll notice a bit more body roll in hard turns, but its not that bad.

Would it make a difference with flex I'm mainly looking for more flex out of a stock suspension

With 2 Yota trucks under my belt (and both IFS), removing the sway bars made no difference in handling. It seemed to handle the same with and without them, so I left them off.

More flex? Honestly, it doesn't flex any more with them off. But it did save a few pounds!

How can I get more flex out of my rear axle?

I installed 2 inch longer shackles on mine, which yielded a little more flex.
