Hello everyone! I Just recently purchased my first 4 runner project (92 4 runner 4x4 with the 3.0) runs great for having 232k on it. I have done a ton of research on the rear window and still can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way I can just manually release the rear window So I can open the tail gate? I am going to start fab work on it and caging it and dont need a rear window that goes up and down. thank you for taking he time to read my post and the help.

 

Well you can take the inner hatch panel off see if you can jumper the motor and get the window down.

Then once the hatch is open remove the window.

There is no manual way to over ride the window
