Unhappy Need major HELP!! 1990 3.0 won't start

I've read a lot of post on no start and done everything I could find and my 3.0 still won't start. I replaced the battery, starter, alternator, pos and neg wires, tested starter relay, cleand engine ground. So whats happening is when I go start it up and I turn the key the dash lights fade like dead battery the pos & neg cables and starter gets "really hot" and the starter ticks. Where should I go or change from here? I bought this truck from a friend and he told me he was driving down the road and it just died it has 300,000 miles with the belt changed at 276,000 miles clean oil and antifreeze. Please help..

Check to see if motor is seized . Put a socket and breaker bar on the crank shaft bolt and see if you can turn the motor over (clock wise ).

X2. Pull the plugs out and it will turn over easier, if nothing is seized up of course.
BTW your username made me laugh

So this morning I put some pb blaster in the cylinders and let it sit I just put a breaker bar on it and I can't get it to budge... Do you think its time for a new engine or a rebuild?

You can't get it to turn either way? Did you leave the spark plugs out?
It could have starved for oil and locked up or broken a rod or something. A tear down is defiantly in order.

My first thought was to make sure you put it in neutral. Just want to clarify, rule out the easiest things first. Has this vehicle been started at all or driven since it died while your friend was driving it?
