1991 toyota pickup v6 temp gauge reading hot and gas gauge not working...?

So i just replaced the radio in my truck an I was driving and the temp gauge out of no where pinned itself to hot even when off, and then gas gauge was working sometimes, the truck is not overheating (no steam, no overflow) so is it just a bad gauge? or what?

Did u find out the problem? I have 93 pickup 4cyl and I’m having a similar problem with my temperature gauge, it shoots straight to hot even when cold. I changed the temperature sender and sensor, I pulled the cluster out and checked the tiny screws and washers and can’t seem to figure out the problem, I even replaced the gauge itself and still nothing
